Reel Music Festival is excited to announce the Artist Management panel. This panel will offer delegates an inside look at the roles and responsibilities of an artist manager. Attendees will hear from industry professionals who earn a living working in the music industry and their thoughts on topics that range from; the advantages and disadvantages of having a manager, the steps an artist must take in order to manage themselves, along with the advantages and disadvantages of DYI , Tour management vs. Artist management, and much more!

This panel will act as an insightful learning experience for young musicians looking to take the next step in obtaining an artist manager.

Tim Smith
Tim Smith
This 26 year old was born and raised in Durham Region. Tim has not only supported the local music scene, he has also contributed to the music scene. Tim Smith has been the manager of band Lost Cause for well over two years now; as well as being the founder/owner of Devil’s Night Entertainment, which is an entertainment company that covers: booking, promotions, management, event planning, and media design. Tim’s passion and contribution towards the music scene shows with his managing, supporting bands and booking shows.

Morgan Cameron Ross is an only child so going solo is in his nature. The past six years fronting and leading Toronto’s Birds of Wales hasn’t always been easy or creatively fulfilling because he doesn’t always play well with others. But his brand new self-titled solo debut is everything that he wanted it to be, made on his terms and timeline.

Chris McKee
Chris Mckee is a booking agent who in recent years has put together concert tours across Canada for international artists including: Rihanna, Akon, Flo-Rida, The Roots, Black Eyed Peas, Ghostface, G-Unit, Tech N9ne, Slaughterhouse, Busta Rhymes, D12, Royce Da 5'9, Naughty By Nature, Vanilla Ice and dozens more. Chris has also toured most of Canada's top Urban acts including: Classified, Danny Fernandes, Karl Wolf, Choclair, Massari, Kardinal, Shawn Desman, Maestro, Belly and many more.

Besides being an agent, Chris is the personal manager for rapper Peter Jackson and co-owns the label Richmond Street Records with Jackson.
